The Grant Process

The Richard and Shelley Baker Family Foundation welcomes grant requests from Canadian registered charities whose work aligns with our mission and focus areas. Our application process is designed to be thoughtful, respectful of applicants’ time, and focused on discerning alignment, impact, and stewardship.

Rolling Application

Grant requests are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, with no fixed deadlines.

Thoughtful Review

All applications are reviewed with care and personal attention; applicants will be notified of decisions within a reasonable review period.

Alignment-First

Requests are evaluated on the basis of values alignment, respect for human dignity, and potential for meaningful and sustained impact.

What Our Application Will Ask

Applicants will be asked to provide the following information:

• Organizational mission and population served.

• Description of the program or initiative for which funding is requested.

• How impact is measured and how funds will be stewarded.

• Basic organizational and governance information.

• One additional healthcare-related question, if applicable.

• Most recent annual report or financial summary.

• Current board of directors list.
